Triolet ("triplet") is a French verse poem or a stanza of eight lines that includes two rhymes and two refrains. One refrain is the repetition of the first line at the fourth line and the seventh line; this triple appearance of one line gives the Triolet its name. Something that was challenging and exciting. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Shoved in caliginous by a ghoulish cretin,

Enamoring fears, he acquits beneath the moon,

Crawls closer; I grovel, senses sweeten,

Pretty long in thought, but tales of the best are not said short!!

Autumn blankets fragile tunes of pain,

Afar sirens pipe up; heralds in solitary,

"We've won, we're done"!

Left lid percolates ashes dwelling on its mount,

Awakens to a nostalgic dream…

The right smothered in red frozen layers,

Like maple sheets raked from dew dawn scars,

Clamber to rise, to rebel…

Thorns suspending beneath iron-heel rails;

Hitch and repatriate in unity; and he sees…

Stares sunk in guilt; in tears,

Salutes lend half-mast shoulders,

Coffins draped in red and blue,

Depart a scene of dread; of gloom,

With glory, they bid farewell…

Crusading shores of silent smiles,

Sacrifices, they respect of who bask in sun and rains!

Sans headstones for thousands;

They lay in unity, even then…

Horror in heaven's hub this day,

Breathing prints of dismay,

For a welcome, the living knights await,

From craters of hearts in far west!

They hitch, follow, journey…

Dusk roofs storms in solitude,

Carpeting lying mannequins;

Of victory, of gratitude;

Of bravery, of patriotism…!

From the grave of an unfortunate few,

A palm stretches out in dirt to clutch,

Disfigured frame of joy from ages beyond,

His angels' blonde, baby's blue;

As the crimson serpents commence to fade in sync,

His baby awaits on the front porch; the chime aloud,

His angel cruising through the daffodil cloud,

Shifting the haze of daylight behind the hills in sight,

A final good night, the bone colored moon arise.

She proceeds to peek with curio, with love,

As shadows begins to bestow over the;

Yellows and greens to grays now...

Angel rushes through the meadows of rainbows,

Embracing the prism of wonders from the day;

Breeze beneath the pines slowly wrap in peace.

Pondering about the horizons of a new beginning…

She still waits to hear a horn; to exclaim to the whisper;

He gifted in those lovely hugs; but miles away, he lay in anguish…

His grace dead, his walks ceased,

Only can his soul hitch its way to eternity,

Rigid his senses behave... deny leaving the body, the pain;

But as the soul puts off on a lullaby of depart,

Crossing craters of bones, he lingers by,

Shadows slowly descend; they choose to stay back

Feathers drawn on his ribs lure glory, pride, and fly!

Sinned he may have, for he cannot inhale freedom,

He’s won the war, yielded to the death Lord, for future peace...

But his soul and spirit wanders in agony, looking over his loved ones...

For he cherishes the freedom they rejoice,

Even when tears wash away afflict of absent love...

Where he floats, over craters of stones,

That image of love, of home, reminiscence….

Of hope, of freedom beyond the meadows of his dear country land!

Seconds Cannot Be Undone (3WW & Haiku Treat - Flaw)

'Dorsimbra', is a poetry form of three stanzas of four lines each. This form requires three different forms of writing. Stanza One: Sonnet (iambic pentameter rhymed a-b-a-b). Stanza Two: Free verse. Stanza Three: Iambic pentameter blank verse, with the last line being the first line of Stanza One. A challenging one though; I've tried my hand at this for 3WW (Bump, Knuckle, and Transfix) and for Haiku Heights (Flaw). Hope it reads well :)

Appal, the look on her face, commove flares,

Sirens, shrills, shines past the loud bump,

She knuckles the wheel, skins from stares,

Boys in blue pounce, strike a throat lump.

Mam! Get out of your car please! Are you

'Trimeric' is a four stanza poem with the first stanza having four lines and the last three stanzas have three lines each, with the first line of each repeating that line in the first stanza. The sequence of lines, then, is abcd, b – -, c – -, d – -. I've tried my hand at this. I've tried this, having two different versions belonging to the same theme of 'Female Infanticide'. One is in the words of the mother who had to do this, while the second version is in the words of the baby aborted. Hope it sounds well.

Mom's Guilt and Cries

Was it my final kiss of death?

'Cinq-Cinquain', from the French refers to "five groupings of five." Cinq-Cinquain consists of five Cinquains. Each has five lines, with two, four, six, eight, and two syllables, with around twenty-two syllables per stanza. Though challenging, I've tried my hand with this form of poetry to exhibit expressions for prompts of 'wind' and 'opportunity/chance'. Also, after reading 'Khaled Hosseini's' 'The Kite Runner', I was inspired to write this. Hope it sounds well!

Sinuate lines crash and perish in bleak nights,

Choirs shrill mourns, silence bestows heavy sighs,

Sailor rests in peace, betwixt fretful shadows,

'Anchors Aweigh' on land, strikes thunders abound,

As processions of chessboard pawns crawled on,

Rearing the coffin donned with stripes of blue, red,

Sails to shore, garnering hearts and tears of those,

Heads the flock to where Aaron's rod guide to,

Closing HIS chapter, renders a new sequence,

His soul ascends, as daisies slowly slither,

Warrior at sea, now dormant, peace galore,

Beauty, As I See It...

I haven't ever blogged on this site anything other than poetry and rhymes. For a contest, I beg to differ for a while. Hope you really like what my perceptions mirror about my reflection on 'true beauty'. So, here it goes...

…And she walked through the swaying silk drapes, brushing her moisturized tresses from against her cheeks to statue beneath the never ending spree of night light. She smirked and felt the air around embracing her grace, her vigor, her attitude, her courage, her confidence, her dreams. She sighed and walked back into her mauve donned bedroom; sat for a while in front of her dearest pal, her confidante, her critic, her musing; her mirror! There, she sees a reflection she hasn’t seen for long. She sees on her face her past, in her smile her present, and in her eyes her future!! She sees happiness even though age has domineered her time and she commemorates Beauty!!

...Flock of seagulls paint the evening skies in white and abstract prints…backwaters radiate the world around through ripples…the green that boundary this scenic image cheer with breeze praising what creation has gifted…underneath the blank sky of void clouds and the virgin air, Mother Earth rejoices and showers joie de vivre for mankind to understand and see the beauty of life that revolves around them.. The fresh dews of early morning rays hit the depth of silence in these lands emanating peace and far in distance nature silently celebrates her Beauty!!

Confused??

Beauty is all about how our eyes cherish and rejoice what we see. A perception of the change we feel and the happiness that entices our soul to linger in peace. When the lady here saw herself in awe, in her mirror, she didn’t just see a face or her age. What she saw were her ideals and her confidence being reflected back as sheer beauty. She knew she had what it took to play the game; she knew she was a winner! Those thoughts made her happy and feel beautiful. Her skin color or texture is not what made her feel this, but the change, the growth, and now the confidence. Beauty for a woman is all about how she feels about herself, her identify, her purpose, and life. She needs to cherish this feeling of being pure, being free, and being alive in all sense with the radiance and glow she emanates. When you drive by the lake, sneaking an eye to capture the nature around, you are dazzled with awe. You are amazed by how nature can be so beautiful. There you go again! Beauty is not just within, but beyond and around us. And, that’s why I used two kinds of scenarios that may help you seek the true meaning of beauty.

Fashion houses have taken the integral meaning of ‘beauty’ to a different level over the years. More makeovers, beauty packages, plastic touches, Botox modifications, and so on in addition to the never ending quintessential lineage of make-up products, designer makeovers, and unlikely-to-wear attires. Why do I feel that make-up products enhance the look and feel of one’s beauty? Well, that isn’t the natural or true beauty, then why? None of these actually add to the beauty of a woman. What really matters is how confidently does she feel beautiful by just being herself, by feeling great on the outside just as how she unravels inside, and keeping head held high in spite of not using any make-up, but just the natural mirror of her image. This is definitely because one who is beautiful, but underestimates the same, takes help from third party colored products to make the change. All they need to do is introspect, explore the inner self, feel the change in their skin and touch the way it is and not the way the world wants it to be, and then mirror their reflection again. Anyone would feel beautiful this way! Nature, when left untouched is the most mesmerizing aspect seen and captured. More concrete inserted and rough patches and shaky cracks follow. The picture of a woman’s beauty is similar to the concept, not much distinctive to a man’s image as well. Not just anybody, but everybody according to me is or has the freedom, luck, and chance to look and feel beautiful, maybe not perfect but definitely beautiful!

Beauty has another touch to it too. If you ask what is actual beauty, there may also be many who relate this aspect to the character of the person being talked about, the place being described, or just any substance beneath the sun, making it conjunctive to the real beauty of the same element being discussed. Does that mean that beauty need no assistance from beauty products and that it’s all about charm, brains, and personality? That’s not true either! When people or I define true beauty to relate to what we call character, it’s much beyond just charm and brains. It’s all about and yes, it is a kaleidoscope of youthfulness and complexion on the outside and not just inner appearances. I agree that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and that each has their own perception of whether or not a place or person is considered beautiful. But, not just the kindness or good habits of a person conclude to be beauty, it is definitely the outbound features, color, and that feel of a ‘love at first sight’ look which sums it all up. So, beauty is not what we only see within a person or around at a place, it’s a mix of different ingredients combining looks and the reflection of goodness.

Anyone of us or whoever is reading this post needs to understand that beauty is within a little on the outside. Nothing is forever, eternal in this world. However, if one always feels happy, joyful about whom he or she is, blessed with what’s more important in life, then age cannot dominate one’s beauty. Make-up is not an option as it only delays the process of the end of time on your face. But consider the best gift you could present to your beauty right now. If you are really gorgeously beautiful, that’s God’s gift. If you feel a little lower than beautiful, then be noble in this life and beauty will itself bestow upon you. Awake to see the change you want and feel it. Beauty will follow!

Here are a few verses in rhyme that speak my heart out about what real beauty is to me:

Beauty isn’t just being slim 'n nice,

Mesmerizing our world deep inside,

Beauty isn't a physique lacking grace,

Nor ugliness that sparks in praise.

Beauty is a mother in pain, in time,

With an angel in hand, her void mime,

Tears that roll during the grandeur,

Boon gifted, over the ages endured.

Beauty is flowers strewing in spring,

Dandelions tinkling the early green,

Tiny chirps beaming high up, in peace,

Haven in the pool of nature, we seek.

Beauty is to emanate nobility in life,

Strike brakes when an evil crosses by,

Foster a cry, rooted from own, in heat,

Not falter, pray for peace, in entreat.

Beauty is a stare introspect of faith,

Delight to domineer a change in fate,

Crush a languorous face, joie de vivre,

An immortal bloom, in silence for better.

Beauty is showered from deep within,

From a woman of power and purity,

Far from being skin deep, it radiates,

Embodiment of freshness in spirit.

Beauty isn't a story of adumbrate folds,

Mystery it is to unravel and explore,

Quaint sensing, for a femme's mind 'n soul,

Beauty supersedes a woman's moderating role.

With tiny waists, dancers of grace,

Trampoline her upheaval as they dive.

Peers amaze the drop of white swans,

Time tilts on with a jumbled sight,

Eyes rhythm a move of the rope walker,

Shining like a star in the moonlit sky.

Her smiles light up, with fear inside,

As a pair walk by, on a rope so high,

My work life wrapped me in a crumbled state of stress and hectic schedules. I spared my precious seconds with something, that I don't think would assist my future ever. At least, writing brought me pleasure and peace. Here, I come back to revive some good and bad events that occurred across the globe or in my life over the period after my last post; in rhythmic verses.

Nature showers her emotions in colors,
in rainbow lavender, in grays galore,

At times, she embraces wrath in moods,
like a while back, in those far woods.

I do talk of the land at the end of sea,
a land that saw what misery is to be,

These verses speak the dread on that day,
these lines sing the song of a sad tale.

No power was strong, so long,

Shrills lighting the dark echoes,

Spears bestowed the land in hell,

Using a weapon, we call elixir.

Quiet was the ambiance in Sendai,

Families living their spirits high,

Far in the distance, unknown to all,

Nature woke up and torrents hauled.

Calm moments in town, crashed loud,

Dirt and darkness filled the crowd,

Endless spree of cataclysm roared,

Silence rose, bleeding cries below.

Debris, not of things, but of lives,

Built over hopes and desires beloved,

Now sank in the pool of misfortune,

No space for any blessings or boon.

Fumes of revenge doesn't have a play,

For what happened, was in no one's say,

Nature had its weeds plucked in vain,

Leaving behind days ached in pain.

Smells of death lingered in breath,

Cars tumbled pulling a grave of rest,

Screams have became dormant over time,

For they see a future, that's to thrive.

A mother whose kin drifted in the black,

weaves prayers for moms' who fight the cold,

A friend walks by the shore of what's left,
to reap any new bonds or caress the slept.

A husband weeps by the memories of his love,
reminiscing moments of their sacred times,

A father bows by the shrine, looking behind,
sees what he once had, now what he seeks in kind.

Dews crash against the scented breeze,
Off my mauve stroked naive tenderness,
Perceiving the horizon to be the end,
Stares mine, gaze into the navy tress.

Little laughs break the silence, deep,
Shifts my vertical of senseless realms,
Rays hit the land, so loud, in shines,
Cheers embrace the air, so do the smiles.

Sorrow, escapes a linger from this hue,
Bringing my childhood memories through,
Lived through play and colorful days,
Growing up brought some colorless shades.

Awake did I, in sign of a little pull,
Lavish moments crushed by a holy roar,
A angel from near, clutching my touch,
Drew far to hide, from a chilled soul.

Showers washed those past torments dread,
Life is good, love the way it is thread,
No more will I see evil dwelling in me,
Seeking for the angel, who left me free.

Pondering now what good to do, in time,
Percolate joy in every drop of what I'm,
Share good senses, raising hopes around,
Never thy whine about the distress drowned.

Where thou's innocence, hide in drapes of red,

I'm back again; Don't know whether this time it is with a bang or a boom. But, at this point, I am snuggling with ideas and a pinch of creativity, and this is the time I need to come back to where I belong!!! A blogger meet last month made me realize how much I missed blogging, commenting, meeting pals on blogs...Now, it is time for me to do it all, in my pace, in my favorite place!!

What I missed, I hadn't known of,

Until those subtle stares spoke,

Familiar smiles shot the truth of life,

Silence within shades of rust broke.

Chords of joy twas' woven behind,

Dormant it lay in slumber so long,

Flow of words, a deep passion then,

Torment to now dread for a tiny song.

All is for change, as I now see it,

Drops of passion reviving its hue,

Flawless thoughts would scream aloud,

In light of lines, the fresh dews.

Would I rhyme, what I see, I think,

Would I share the joy that I linger in,

Missing the days, I blogged,
Couldn't enjoy some posts,
What I skipped, which I don't,

Missed it all, the damn run,
Am back, and getting to grind,

To revive poetry, now that I lack,
So enjoy my untouched works, until,

Tears rehash, in remembrance!

Realizing that its not too late,
Mind doesn't mind this long wait,
Feelings that pricked, long ago,
Slowly emerge that hidden sorrow.
Turning the pages of life, today,
How cursed was the eleventh day?
Reminisced in silence, and I wept,
For innocent souls who now slept.

Started calm, moving on, as cold,
Some came to see the wonder told,
Some waited, as loved ones arrived,
Some kept their routines alive.
Kids, lovers, pals, and wives,
Spent their day, with no strife,
Smiles, cheer embraced the air,
Lived the moment, as none cares.

In a flash, a sudden tremor, shook,
Hearts and eyes of those who looked,
Flames of cries, lured the bright sky,
What flies high was, now a reach by,
Prayers bestowed by strangers below,
Shrills echoed, painting their woes,
All stood hoping for the best, in time,
Crashed what was once, now lay in grime.

With dreams, destiny fought in vain,
Lives dithered in shades of pain,
Colors stroked of grey, black, and red,
Filled the scene, scents of dread.
Down time lane, we look back to ponder,
Stories that kids listen to, now in wonder,
Wish to rewind the moment, change the past,
Knowing still, this melancholy would last....

Frame of my dream, froze in time,
Sounds of nature draped its essence,
As eyes tweaked to view the beauty,
Heart vowed to capture his presence.

Staring the bright sky, serene he was,
Shadow of my passion dwelled, by him,
Steam of lust embraced the ambiance,
Smiles of mine tickled him for a grin.

Eyes, of such genre struck me in force,
To a land of fantasy, took me in time,
Where in his arms, I lay and relished,
In two hearts, I heard a single chime.

As I awake, heat from his soul, arouse,
Sweet lullaby, it pulled me into a roll,
His touch, so slow, chilled me, within,
Lingering beneath his haven, I crawl.

Moments moved on, as loneliness creeps,
Realizing the Utopian tale, I live in,
He was there yesterday, so I believed,
He still is there, in my love, my craving.

A soft breeze silently through, whispers,
You are now on your own, none is there,

Exhausted with rhythm of love, hope and life...

Let's change the symphony of my poetry, for once,

Decided today, I would not rhyme, in sequence,
Decided, I would today, sing periodically, the tale of elements.

Time set foot, to arrive in pomp,
Lord wrote the unknown, in silence,
Donning love and peace, it trembled,
World ready to roll, in truth,
Bundled in, creations within,
Life spoke, in tones of smiles,
Elements flew, in speed, along,
Triplicities were here to triumph.

High spirits, direct honesty,
Dealing with freedom to express,
Assertive in nature, in thought,
Vitalizing energy in exuberance,
Friendly mocks dwell forever,
Projecting what is radiant,
Innocence it mirrors, so naive,
'Fire' seeks admiration for attainment...

Conventional speeches, cautious lines,
Attitude drives fields of achievement,
Sleeps by rules, breathes pure logic,
Chasing dreams, among the right trends,
Diligence falls over poor imagination,
Accommodating moments as they cross,
Stability flames, in spiritual waves,
Predictability is 'Earth' sign's loss...

Emphasis laid over ideas, indigenous,
Fantasy, a frequent visitor, in dreams,
Detaching from emotion, worldly laws,
Theory rules, practicality so dormant,
Proactive to be, planner - a second name,
Pondering each moment, a while to layer,
Blossoming to acts so weird, so lame,
Forever a learner, 'Air' carpets the rising stair...

Embraces feelings, in tune with life,
Sensitivity so intense, without strife,
Reciprocate to match the mind and heart,
Emotional bliss favors any despair craft,
Inhibits to learn, to nurture stable relations,
In mime, in forms, spontaneously one communicates,
Boiling in passion, as one seems obsessed,
Mood swing is 'Water' sign's single protest...

Antiquity defined, dominating philosophy, base of all origin, ruling life mystically!!

On the other side, a blurred face, a known figure?

She seems to confidently steal the show..
Is it those feelings, I see all the time?
Is it me? A young soul who lives inside?

She shakes her beauty off the run,
Embraced in drapes of innocence...
She breaks a heart, as her wings sway..
She knows, she's eyed, as desires play..
Is it the eyes that pierced thoughts?
Is it me, who evolved for many to adore?

She turns mature, attractive, so chic,
Flaming aims in life, knocking each minute..
She drives her life, changing seasons..
She knows, she's right for every reason..
Is it the player who reigned her times?
Is it me, losing out fun, as triumph climbed?

She sees the change, and she moves on,
Noticing the white, she leaves it alone...
She now misses dancing in the rain, flamboyant...
She wishes moments to rewind, knowing it won't...
Is it the mind that sees nothing else to live?
Is it me, smiling in pain, not a reason to grieve?

Mirror, Mirror, I know that this is a reflection here..
Memories draining off leaving its essence to linger..
Wishing that this frame of life would be mended again..

Quite summers, within colors,
Cherishing essence of flowers,
Delicious ring, beyond thought,
Papa's drive gifting cocoa, hot.

Sis' strokes fly across the canvas, in blue,
I take a peek at the lovely hue,
Swinging feathers in a frame,
Desire sways, as turpentine flames.

Persia, I did not hear of yet,
Uncle smuggled a heap of love, far from there,
Attires glow now, a Mediterranean touch,
Perfumes embrace the simple Dutch.

Blushing, I play around,
Dancing in the nature's haunt,
Granny covers her angel, in love,
A heavenly scent, awakes my realm, below.

Sudden tremor, and the smells are all gone,
Am there, but my soul is now alone,
Shaking, I rise to move on, but,
Those scents, pull me back to rest,
Senses stay, as was once said,
Memories that now own my presence,

Belief in abilities, as vanity rises,
Bearer of the deadliest, as christened,

Fatal it seems, in progress, its 'pride'...

Desire for the rest, in joy, in distress,
Content, one is not with that bestowed,
Yearns for best, urges minds to plea,
Swallows generosity, for 'envy' to be...

Limit not known, in senses deprived,
To consume more, than what one could try,
Inordinate as all sees it, so loony,
Even money seems small, in front of 'gluttony'..

Pleasures and passion, in color that bleed,
Dreadful desires, taking to a high, in spirits
Rendered to a feeling, unknown in time..
Deformed by love, 'lust' indulges minds in crime..

Manifests fury, swaying decisions, so grim,
Hate overcomes shadow of peace and pun,
Second name to wrath, linked to danger,
Once near, none can save thee, not even 'anger'...

As realms of spirituality, turns its back on life,
Hearts long for gains, worth of debris, so old,

Avoidance of effort, laying back in comfort,

Wondering if he would turn back, take a look at me,
Those dark hazel eyes, blinked my thoughts awhile,
Charming, so perfect, taking me to a world of fantasy.

Arms bind in a damsel's strands with a dreamy smile,
That touch, one would want, in a night of anxiety,
Gentle, so naive, wish he'd be here, than a mile.

I stood by the flower shop, gazing at that green horn,
As he picked a right one from a bunch of rosy blooms,
Sat on his knee, held it over to gift his soulful dame,
Loving, how lucky is she to get him as her groom.

I stood by the lamp-post, gazing at that green horn,
As he held her hand and walked by the pavement, high,
Hunted for a safe cab, to escort his lady love back,
Kissed her tight and said two words of love, in silence.

I stood there in hiding, gazing at that green horn,
Followed his footsteps, for him to stop, for once,
