'Cinq-Cinquain', from the French refers to "five groupings of five." Cinq-Cinquain consists of five Cinquains. Each has five lines, with two, four, six, eight, and two syllables, with around twenty-two syllables per stanza. Though challenging, I've tried my hand with this form of poetry to exhibit expressions for prompts of 'wind' and 'opportunity/chance'. Also, after reading 'Khaled Hosseini's' 'The Kite Runner', I was inspired to write this. Hope it sounds well!
Shallow
Strings held up
Shades vibrant lifted high
Crosses sprout andante in flock
Wars race
Soar free
Snapping each line
Swayed by winds winning time
Tattered in others' feet, one crash
Kites smirk
New tides
Rock guilty kites
Some pull back as winds sigh
Bright shades agitate a pull
Some win
Quit none
Challenge remains
Chance to ash this game
Pride lures high in victory
Kids rush
Cheers
Ignite impulse
Sights thorn winner's fortune
Winds proceed to battle colors
Even chance

This is lovely, lyrical. Made me reconsider the book The Kite Runner. Also made me recall the National Cherry Festival kite day in Washington DC.
visualizing kites in the sky, in a gentle breeze, soaring high has always been a calming technique of mine when i'm feeling frustrated. beautiful poem.
Beautiful poem...I love the creative form you chose for this piece. I have not read the Kite Runner but I'm sure the poem does it justice. Beautiful!
This brought 'The Kite Runner' to mind for me too. The form is interesting, thanks for introducing it.
